PRESS RELEASE: LIBERTY COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY CONCLUDES CONVENTIONS, SHAPES FUTURE OF TEXAS GOP

Liberty, TX – March 25, 2024

The Liberty County Republican Party is proud to announce the successful conclusion of our Precinct and County Conventions held on Saturday, March 23rd in Liberty. The day’s events commenced with individual precinct conventions, where grassroots Republicans discussed local issues, selected delegates, and approved resolutions to advance to the county convention. The county convention then brought together all precinct delegates to debate and pass more than two dozen resolutions, covering a wide range of topics including abortion, education, vaccine freedom, property taxes, and election integrity. These resolutions underscore our local party’s commitment to the principles of limited government, individual liberty, and fiscal responsibility.

Furthermore, the convention elected 25 delegates who will represent Liberty County at the State GOP Convention, to be held May 23-25 at the Henry B. González Convention Center in San Antonio. These delegates will play a critical role in further shaping the platform of the Republican Party of Texas.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all participants for their dedication and thoughtful contributions. Their engagement is instrumental in advancing the Republican cause in Liberty County and beyond.
